Single Soles 2013, Single Soles 4 Life

Those who know me, know that I do love shoes. Of course what woman doesn't, right? Throughout all the fashion trends of shoes, I have always stayed true to the single sole heel. It is my favorite, chic and a classic. I don't dig platform heels too much. There are very few that I like and only fewer that I own. My sister and I have actually had conversations about them because I don't like how there is space between the ground and my feet. hmmm... this is where my control freak comes in but it does make sense. You can't tell me that it doesn't. I, personally, just don't dig them. So with that in mind, you could imagine how excited I was to see an article about the single sole shoe and how it's going to make it's way back in to fashion and to break habit of the platform.

I finally got to tear open my January2013 Vogue, which so awesomely has Gwen Stefani on the cover, and on page 47 shares an article "Step It Up" talking about how the original single sole heel is coming back and well...it should have never left in my book. I was so excited to see this article and can't believe the quotes it had so just had to share with you :)

"Single soles have a daintier feel and enhance female curves in the legs and calf area" says Jimmy Choo's creative director Choi. "The platform tends to enlarge the lower end of our bodies"

"I only make single-sole shoes," declares Manolo Blahnik. "They transform the way a woman walks: in heavy platforms like truck drivers, in my shoes like ballerinas"

So for 2013, how many single sole heels will you wear? As for me, one of my resolutions is to inventory mine ;)
